I really, really like broccoli. I eat it in stir fries - YUM. I also eat it cooked in a little chicken broth. Very satisfying and tasty.

Not sure why our former President Bush felt the need to knock it. It's good stuff!!!! Maybe if our current President Bush knocked it, more people would try it.
  • I love it, too! I just have to remember to take Beano before I eat it. I have some just about every day. I bring 2 cups of veggies as part of my lunch on most days. I buy the veggie blends and measure out 2 cups. They are mostly broccoli. Although I don't eat it any more, I love it in tempura as well.
  • I love broccoli lightly steamed or in stir frys so that it's still slightly crunchy! Yummy!

I also like broccoli roasted. It takes on a caramelized sweetness in the oven.
  • I had broccoli yesterday.

I usually just eat it lightly steamed, that is pretty much my favorite.
  • Broccoli is my favorite veggie! I just boil it for a few minutes until bright green and salt.
  • I love broccoli. As long as it's cooked. I can't eat it raw. But I love it lightly steamed to where it's crisp-tender. I also buy a lot of the Green Giant (or store brand) 1-2 serving trays of broccoli in lowfat cheese sauce. Sometimes I'll eat a whole one just for a snack.
  • I loooove broccoli! Steamed, boiled, and raw. Mmmm.
  • I pretty much eat broccoli daily! I love it steamed, cooked in broth, any way really! I don't get gas from it or any other issues. The only side effects are increased wellness, health, nutrition and a decrease in weight!

LLV, I don't eat broccoli raw either.
  • I LOVE broccoli! I like it raw or steamed. I'll eat it boiled, but prefer it steamed as boiling it leaches nutrients out. It's an excellent source of calcium and vitamins C & K.
  • Oh, I got a nice bunch of broccoli in my CSA box yesterday. Can't wait to have it.

I used to work with a woman who made a broccoli salad in which the pieces were chopped very very tiny - it's the only way I like raw broccoli. Of course the salad was not at all low-cal but it sure was good.

Otherwise, I like broccoli any way you cook it, except when it's included in a frozen dinner. Which is weird since I don't mind frozen broccoli (I freeze a lot of what we've grown). Must be something in the processing that changes it.
