Chat sure isn't like it used to be..

First you can't find anyone to chat with.

Second when you do.....like people like ----- or -----.. they talk to eachother and don't even say good bye and leave...rude.

I guess thats why I don't bother going there.

I'll just stick right here and talk to you crazies lolol....at least I know your lovable and friendly.

Okay got that off my chest lololoolololol.

Leenie, I've noticed that some rude people are coming in there too! They don't say hello or bye. It's changing. Maybe us moldy oldies have to start hanging in there and teaching some manners to these clods!

I know there are some that only chat to each other - oh well! I'm not giving up - I keep checking for some of you wonderful people and sooner or later I'm gonna catch ya in there!

Fully agree, Leenie. Both those two are like that, I've noticed. One has posted only once on the boards when she thought chat was going to disappear and the other one never!

I hope you don't mind that I edited out the names. I just want to avoid major feather-ruffling and squawking in the site. I really hate having to clean up chicken poop, pulled out feathers and bits of ripped combs when you chickies all go to bed at night.

Well, I didn't see who it was, but I do know they behavior that is being talked about. It unfortunately happens in a lot of chat rooms these days.

Also, as much as I hate to say it, it has happened more and more often since that other site went to pay-only chat. Not that everyone from that chat is rude, but a lot of them are.

I know what you mean about chat, and it's like that on a lot of other sites I chat on, so I don't chat on them anymore. That leaves only 2 places to go, here and one other. And I'm ready to give up on the other My problem is, nobody is ever in chat when I check in. Must go at the wrong time.

I have been meaning to post on this very topic! I went into chat one time here, LAST WEEK...and it will be the only time. As soon as the ladies there found out i was on CAD, there was one in particular that got hateful...She started saying stuff like "you can't stay on low carb all your life" and she made some wise crack about how my diet plan wasn't balanced, and how did I go without eating carbs? I was really ready to tell her a thing or two...then she quickly logged out! UGGHHHHH!!!! i WAS SO ANGRY! THEN THE REST OF THESE LADIES STARTED SAYING HOW LOW CARB DIDN'T MAKE SENSE...i TRIED TO EXPLAIN IT TO THEM, HOW i GET TO EAT CARBS ONE TIME A DAY, BUT THEY JUST IGNORED IT AND ACTED LIKE I DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING! yOU GUYS HERE HAVE GAVE ME NOTHING BUT SUPPORT, AND i GO THERE, I GUESS EXPECTING THE SAME THING, AND GOT THESE HATEFUL WITCHES...uGHHH! BUT I AM NOT USING IT AGAIN! iT DEPRESSED ME! IT MADE ME WANT TO GO EAT AN ENTIRE BOX OF HERSHEY BARS FOR SOLACE! bUT INSTEAD i CAME HERE AND FELT MUCH BETTER!

Lodyangel, don't let them get your bloomers in an uproar. Being I guess you can call it "AN OLDIE" here I've confronted lots of people like that. People always get nasty and rude when it comes to something they don't understand and my guess is, is that they just don't get it.....PERIOD ! They are just narrow minded. You stick with us goofies. But in the same breath you SHOULD be allowed to go there without being harrassed.

I've been going to the chat room for so long they put a bed in there for me. Lodyangel, I've met all kinds in there, just as in real life. I've seen the nastiest and the kindest, again, just as in real life. My advice is, don't argue or try to explain. You need not justify your diet plan to those b*tches. Leave and come back another time. Don't judge all chatters by them. All I can say is I'm hoping I can be around sometime when it gets nasty because I've been known to rip people like that to shreds!

i am so sorry you had a bad experiance. Many people pop into chat ask for life answers and leave. There are some people that come in just to tell how great they are doing then leave, then some that come in just to whine and complaine. Ruth is right, it is supose to be about support and good feeling. and being a unit to help eachother along.

I am not a low carber, but firmly believe in the right to choose and do what works for you. please don't go and eat that chocolate! it won't change a thing and can only make you feel worse!

If by any chance I was one of the people that said I don't get your plan, I appologize, the truth is that I don't get to make your choices and I don't live your life.

I have been going to chat on and off for a year and have met some really great ladies. I have made some friend off line and am greatful that chat is available to me for a quick fix to keep me away from the food.


Please come again or set up a time to meet friends. We all need to be there for eachother in a positive way and we all need help to get through weight loss no matter what plan you follow.

I'm so excited that there will be people I know there, better yet, I'm excited to know people will BE there! I just want you all to know, I will not be dissing anyone's plan except my own.
