What Do You Jog To?

  • I got a new Ipod for Christmas. I love to listen to it while I work out. But I cant find songs that put me in the mood to keep going lol. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  • Oh Yeah I love my IPod! Mine is loaded with all kinds of music.

Here are just a few that I love to run to:
Blackeyed Peas- "lets get it started"
    Kenya West- "stronger"
    Fergi- "Clumbsy"
Pink- " U and ur hand"

Just a couple I could go on and on. Enjoy your IPod.!!!
  • I have a new addiction to techno music. I can't think of any names, but there's a ton of it out there (some free downloads online) including "old familiar songs" made into techno. It really keeps me going.
  • Suddenly I See- KT Tunstall
    Girlfriend- Avril L
    Unwritten-Natasha Bedingfield
Since U Been Gone- Kelly Clarkson
if you like Christian: Love In Your Arms- Eleventyseven

    if I don't have these I can't run!

    Great idea! Thanks!

  • Rather than recommend music, because everyone's taste is so different, I'm going to instead suggest buying the software program "BeaTunes." It automatically figures out the beats per minute (BPM) of each of your songs, and even has a "color" setting where it determines the "color" of your music (spicy, fast stuff is red; slow, mellow stuff is blue/green; etc). You can use it to make great playlists for workouts. I always tend to run to the beat, so I look for specific BPM songs that are at my normal pace and a bit faster, so it pushes me a bit!
  • I've recently come back to Bon Jovi! (I'm a Jersey girl who spent her formative years in the '80s!) So much fun! I have to keep myself from singing out loud...

    I also like Daughtry.

    Some of my favorites are:
Dirty Little Secrets, Flavor of the Week, Girl I'm Looking For, Sk8er Boi, Stacy's Mom, and 1985 (That's just from thumbing through my list.)

    Hope that helps!

    Kara
  • Thnx ladies.....my ipod has over 30 new songs from your suggestions......!!!!your all great
  • My two favorites on my ipod right now are "You Can't Stop the Beat" from the Hairspray soundtrack and "Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)" by MIKA.
  • I love to listen to techno... but I've always been a fan

Kanye West's "The College Dropout" and Timbaland's "Shock Value" are also excellent work-out inducing albums
