  • What are your plans for New Year's Eve?

Angie and I are having around 20-25 people over. We will be serving Italian. I have already made my Christmas pasta sauce made famous by Rachael Ray and Angie is making chicken caccitore using her new polenta pot that we got her for Christmas.

    What are you doing?
  • My husband is taking me to WILDFIRE a great resturant here in Chicago. Not that food is my big priority of the evening but I am looking forward to it. Then its back home to drink a bit and watch all the people freezing on TV.

    BE SAFE EVERYONE!
  • We're going to Bingo with a couple of friends. Then playing Euchre until the wee hours of the morning

I'll be making Turkey for thanksgiving dinner with scampi asparagus, creamy coleslaw and turnips
  • Not sure yet. I sure hope not spending it at home....
  • Well, New Year's Eve is our Anniversary so we plan to celebrate a little! Right now we plan to go to Cripple Creek and play some slot machines, if the weather cooperates, then have a nice dinner there. Then plan to be back at home and relax with a glass of champagne and watch them shoot the fireworks off the top of Pikes Peak at midnight (if we stay awake!!) At least we will be in by the fire, staying warm and watching them out the window!!
  • Quote: We're going to Bingo with a couple of friends. Then playing Euchre until the wee hours of the morning
I love Euchre!! Not many people know how to play here in Colorado!! Have fun!!

DH and I will be having dinner out (we splurge on Lobster for New Year's) and then we stroll downtown and get coffee, head home and... fall asleep!

I wish everyone a wonderful New Year's celebration! 2008 is going to be great!!
  • My boyfriend manages a restaurant/bar so yet again, he'll be spending it at work and I'll be spending it with friends, but I am used to it and don't mind much I met him while he was working in the private country club industry so I've been used to him working almost every day of the year. Sometimes I get him on Flag Day

I will be attending a big party with friends at a neighbors house tonight. I plan to have tons of fun! Then tomorrow, my boyfriend will miraculously be leaving work at 7:30pm and we are going to an even bigger party at our friends new home. I am making a big mistake trying to come into work Wednesday morning, but I'm a trooper, and I've been through worse
  • Will be spending it at home babysitting my 2 year old nephew so his parents can go out and party. Instead of having alcoholic drinks, will be giving myself a non-alcoholic drink! Probably will be spent watching movies and chasing after the child... At least I'm getting my exercise in! LOL
  • Tonight is our 3 year anniversary

Having a relaxing, homecooked dinner at home...going to a comedy show...then to a friend's house for a party. I recently decided to stop drinking for atleast a month, so I'll be drinking fruit juice and learning how to have fun with a bunch of drunk people while sober

Tomorrow, it's all about sleeping in! *lol*
  • Penelope, Happy Anniversary to you! We are celebrating our 14th! This is the second time we are married so if we hadn't messed up back in 1982 we would have been celebrating our 37th! Crazy the way somethings happen!
    Have a Happy New Year!
  • Karen - Wow, 37 years (let alone 14!)

My longest relationship before this was only 6 months, and there is a world of differance between then and now. Every day is still better then the last

    Have a wonderful day!
  • I'm meeting my husband after work and we're going to Logan's Roadhouse. This is the one time of year I'll likely indulge in my yearly 2 drink limit. LOL
  • I have some sparkling juice chilling and I am making chili for dinner. We'll stay up and play games and I'll see how many of the kiddos make it to midnight. I might not even make it to midnight!
  • Just staying in with the four littles and DH and watching Rockin New Years Eve for New York's 100 anniversary of the ball dropping! Made some appetizers and drinking some Zimas! YUM!!

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

  • Dinner at the Pyramid Brewery in Berkeley and then a quiet celebration with the kids back home Birthday party tomorrow for DIL - about 30 guests - should be a lot of fun!
