Anyone else in toy assembly pergatory?

  • AAAAACK

My sister sent a ride on firetruck for my son that contains about 47 parts and a teeny tiny "breakdown" picture with no instructions.
  • We just got home from Candel Light Service at church....this is the time...years past....I would be putting the bikes, etc. together....those days are sooo over...I am off to bed....

give my adopted grandkids a ....good-nite
  • Yikes! I'm so glad to have teen-agers at times like that, although I do remember those times well. My worst memory is putting together a swing set one Christmas night. It was soooo cold and it had a million pieces and it was so dark. Don't ask why we didn't do it during the day-time where we could see. Too disorganized from what I remember.

My biggest worry this morning was making sure I could put my hands on a Y adapter so we could play the new Wii through the LCD projector. I can already tell the DDR is going to be good exercise.

I hope you got to sleep before too late and got to sleep in a bit this morning.
  • Harrumph....being laughed at - just you wait Gary, I'll tell your kids to make you come assemble any stuff you get your grandkids when the time comes.

Got the firetruck, the bike and the walker/ride on lion together, looked at the easel my sister sent and decided it could be assembled later.

Tammy - you didnt put it together in the daylight because the kids werent in bed yet!!... hard to hide a swingset from them.

Ahh well, it was still easier than the kitchen we got dd last year.
  • We right there with you trying to put a pirate ship and spiderman set together. The thing is my DS is kind of destructive so we know it will just come apart.
  • I am STILL putting toys and items together, putting in batteries, etc.

  • This was our first Christmas without Barbies and Polly Pockets. I did not miss all the plastic pieces and wrappings, etc.
  • So don't buy the wooden Thomas train set. Because not only do you assemble it on Christmas eve, but you get to re-assemble on Christmas day, the day after Christmas, the day after that, the day after that.....

I can't wait until he figures out that he can't crawl across it and expect it to stay together.
