Ideas Wanted - Christmas Dinner?

  • In the past, Christmas has always meant homemade lasagna at my house. Luckily, DH doesn't care about tradition! I'm tossing around a few ideas for the main dish, maybe prime rib (if I can get financing - ) or roast beef. What about side dishes, maybe an Atkins-friendly treat or two?
What is everyone else doing foodwise for Christmas or Hannukah?

  • Side dishes.... well you could always make the mock mashed potatoes out of cauliflower (you can even add cheese in it mmmmmmmm ). Check out the recipe area http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=83 I know you'll find lotta goodies there

  • If ya try that mashed cauliflower recipe, definately have a back up plan or try it before Christmas. I know everyone if differnt and a lot of peeeps like that but I hated it. I'll just have to save up my carb intake and have REAL mashed poatoes, lol.
  • allowing myself to head over budget on the carbs for xmas will stay off the booze ( a very slipperly slope otherwise) but will indulge in some spuds and fruit juice
