Best Exercise Movitavers??

  • Hello!

    I'm calling all for their best exercise moviaters!

    I just printed a calendar and hung it on my fridge... each day I exercise, i put a big X on the day. If I haven't put my X up, it will make me think twice before grabbing a snack from the fridge.

    I am also thinking of making a rule.... no cheating on Saturdays (I have one cheat day a week) if I haven't gotten 5 X's per week!

    Any other ideas???
  • Ooooh, I like your ideas! I have a similar one about allowing a treat over the weekend if I exercise Monday through Friday.

    This isn't exactly a motivator per se, but I find if I go every day at the same time (my gym has the best classes at 9:30am), I can just kind of get myself there on automatic pilot. Before I know what's happening, I'm warmed up and ready to work.

    If you have the money, maybe a massage, book, album, movie, item of clothing, etc. for every X weeks you make your exercise goals?

    I agree with the time thing. If I get up and go I'll do it. If I tell myself I'll do it later in the day it generally doesn't happen.

    My reward is a big cup of with French Vanilla whitener. I don't have it on non-exercise days.
