Small Successes

  • This may sound silly, but most of the time I focus on the little successes of my day that build up to big ones (weight loss). For example, today instead of one of my favorite kind of brownies, I ate some raw carrots and broccoli. The fact that I resisted the temptation of a brownie and instead chose a healthy snack makes me feel good and motivated. So here is a place to share your tiny successes throughout the day.

  • Awesome idea! My success today was in the fact that I had a very disappointing dentist appointment which ran right through lunch and I was very tempted to grab junk on the run, but I resisted the urge and went out of my way to get something more healthy. It would have been a good excuse to go off my plan, but instead I exercised my self control.
  • Way to go u2! I know it can be so hard to resist the temptation at times - especially when everyone else digs in hehe.
  • I needed to read about those successes! I know it's those kinds of choices, focus and "exercise in self-control" (like that one!) that will melt the weight.

I'll add a small one of my own -
DH is travelling. I'm sitting downstairs with my laptop after having eaten a healthy dinner (actually made wonderful choices all day & exercised). I'm far, far away from the kitchen.
