Introduction.

  • Hello. My name is Christine. This is the first time that I have ever taken part in a weight loss forum, so I'm new at this. Basically, I'm trying to fall back into old habits (which may sound strange at first). Allow me to elaborate: I used to be an incredibly healthy young woman. I was an excellent weight (125 lbs) and enjoyed exercising. However, about a year ago I had surgery on one of my ankles, leaving me in a cast for six weeks and then on crutches for another four. The result was me gaining a great deal of weight and becoming a very unhealthy individual. With the stress that ensued shortly after being able to walk once again I couldn't manage to lose any of the weight. Although I've been trying to lose the weight I have not become completely serious about it yet. I'm experiencing the awful disease known as "there's no way I can do it" syndrome. I'm determined to shake that horror now, though, and I hope the support on this forum will help me do so.
  • and good luck!!
  • Hi Christine, and

The best cure I know for "I can't do it" syndrome - look at the "Goals" section here. SO MANY PEOPLE who never thought it was possible. Read RockinRobin's story. Read Nightengale Shane's story. So many people from different walks of life, who never thought they'd be where they are. Then get started.

Can't wait to get to know you better. You CAN do this.
  • Thanks guys Nice to meet all of you!
