If you don't have one I really reccomend one to work an OA program.

I thought God and I could do it and I was doing nothing expecting to be fixed and then I asked for a sponsor from here and things are going much better.

I have to have guiadence and be accountably to another human being and I don't have to know them I have found out. I'm sure we'll get to know one another as we go along but for right now it's ok that we don't.

Just my experience so far and wanted to share.

I agree. I'll add that I think it's actually better if you don't know your sponsor. A sponsor/sponsee relationship works better if you don't start out as friends. It's a lot easier to be honest when not in fear of losing a friendship.

I talked with my sponsor today and I'm excited!

I know this is going to work I just have to do my part with my sponsor and God will do the rest.

Wow!! I've been away from 3FC for several months "dealing" with myself. Haven't posted in this section before.

Of all the things I could have read first today, this was it. I've been going to OA meetings for a few months and have put off finding a sponsor for the same reasons. Thank you!! I needed to hear that.
