Activity Points

  • Does anyone use them? I am debating because I will probably go down to 26 pts because I think the scale will read at least 224 on Monday. The lower the points the more difficulty I have sticking to them. Also I plan to start exercising the following week. I will be starting the C25K plan. In the past when I ran I was so freaking hungry. I am just trying to do some pre planning. I gave my activity point thingy away but I heard its 1AP=100 calories burned. Does that sound right?

I thought I had saved it but it is a formula that you use:

Your present weight x (number) x minutes= activity points.

    I found it!

Light Activity (you can feel it a bit but not too stressful):
    Weight x Minutes x .000232 = Activity Points

Moderate Activity (you can feel your heart rate rise a bit and lightly perspite):
    Weight x Minutes x .000327 = Activity Points

High Activity (heart rate rises and you break a good sweat):
    Weight x Minutes x .0008077 = Activity Points
  • Thank you so much that is very helpful.
