low carb witdrawls

  • Hi I'm new here. I've been on the low carb diet for 4 days and I feel tierd, hungry, and kinda hazy. Dose anyone know if this is normal? I've don this diet befor and I dont remember feeling this way. I know this diet works I just hope i can ajust to it; the carb cravings are driving me crazy. Anyway let me know if you have any advice.

    In Atkins terminology, what you are experiencing is referred to as "Induction Flu"....basically, it is your body detoxing of carbs & sugar. While you may feel odd for a few days, it is perfectly normal & your body will adjust.

  • When I first started low carb dieting I said no to my own birthday cake. I'm sorry to tell you, it is miserable! But it doesn't last long. You will actually notice a better physical feeling and increased mental clarity after a short while. Hang in there!
