New vodka with 0 carbs...how many points?

  • I am new to the core and want to use as few of the additional weekly points sa possible. The only thing they may be used for is my alcohol intake on the weekends. But, I recently heard of a new vodka called 3Vodka which claims to have 0 carbs and has 96 calories. Should I still count this as 2 points or would it be less???

  • While alcohol isn't truly a carb, it has the same number of calories and acts much like a carb in the body (at least that's what I read in one of my husband's diabetic books). For Weight Watcher's points, it would still be 2 points, as it would have no fat or fiber.
  • ok, I should clarify by saying that it is made from soy and it's claim is that it contains no alcohol sugars.. does that make a difference?
  • No. You still need to use calories, fat, and fiber to calculate points values. with 96 calories, 0 fat, and 0 fiber, it has 2 points per serving.
  • Wouldn't if be nice if it were Core? I'm guessing it's still 2 points but you might want to ask your Leader to find out.
  • What is the name of this miracle vodka?
  • All vodka is carb-free. The calories in vodka come from the alcohol, and this vodka definitely isn't alcohol free.

What is the 96 calories? Per ounce? Per shot?

If its per ounce, this is actually MORE than regular vodka. If its per shot, its about the same.
  • Yeah, but it's made from SOY! (Oh, the novelty! ).
  • Actually, its getting killer reviews from the bigtime spirit rating folks. Apparently its the new gold standard for smoothness, it has gotten several perfect taste-testing scores. But healthier, no.
  • darn it... i thought i may have found a winner here... oh well, i guess i'm counting those points... but thanks for the input and the info.... oh, and by the way... it is a great tasting vodka, so i will be drinking it from now on anyway
  • What's the name?
  • She put it in the first post. 3.

    As in "3 Vodka"

Their slogan is "Order it by number".
  • opps, sorry.... 3Vodka
