Reassure me/ tell me what I already know: activity aids weight loss

  • Hello,

I've been doing ww at home for 31 days. I do not use a scale, but my clothes are looser and I'm starting to fit into smaller sizes, or at least I don't look like a pregnant person or a prostitute with them on.

But I know that if I incorporate activity, I WILL lose more efficiently, or at least I will probably see more toning ( when I actually do work out, I do a mix of weights and cardio ).. It's just been lately I've been full of excuses not to..then I feel bad about it, but yet I still don't do it..

Please, someone just tell me that if I work out, I'll feel better and probably look better, too.

My goal is to look slimmer by the time I go up north to see my family around Christmas. Some of them I haven't seen in a year. I was flirting w/ 12's before, now I'm sneaking into some size 8's, so yeah, there's a change..but we all want the moon, don't we.

    Thanks.
  • I kind of struggle with the same thing - last night I got all dressed to go to Curves and then sat down on the couch and played online. I looked at my husband and said MAKE ME GO! lol..anyway - I did go - and yes, I felt sooo much better. It's just the going. I have no magic cure to get you to do it, though - or I'd be rich! Try picturing yourself in a pair of nice jeans and sweater when your family sees you - or try thinking about how energetic you feel after you work out...maybe that will help.

    Good luck!
