Wild weekend

  • Okay, so I visited family out of state this weekend... and started out on a fairly moderate, normal kind of eating... then I just lost it completely... fried foods, homemade dumplings, and TONS of potato chips plus no exercise... I have a pretty good feeling that I might gain some weight this week...

    any advice for getting back on the wagon?!
  • Hehe....I know the feeling. I've eaten out for every meal this weekend, almost. Umm...all I can suggest is get determined. I stand naked in front of a mirror and that pretty much does it for me. LOL

  • Thanks guys! I decided to lower my calories for the rest of the week.... I think I will still be over my weekly calories but that should help... I guess the true damage will be exposed when I step on the scale Friday morning!
  • I'm sure if you keep it up this week, by the time you weight in, it won't be as bad as you're thinking. I bet it won't change at all! Keep it up, babe!
  • Thanks HappyMomma05! It feels so good to have everyone's support! I'm gonna do some extra exercise to hopefully counteract the extra calories from the weekend!

    In the past when something like this would happen, I would just give up for good, but I am not gonna do that this time!!!
  • yeah, i know what you mean, saturday is typically the day when i just kindof eat how i want to..to give myself a break, but it seems that it's causing a -huge- damper on my weight loss. last week i ate like 1800 calories on saturday, which is about 700- 800 calories more than i do durring the week. im - still- trying to recover from it. i need to stay around 1500 on my break day, that way im not undoing what i am doing through the week.

    it's so hard to stay on a diet when you are visiting parents. they are always like "OH my gosh, you are so thin, you need to eat something. are you okay financially? you are eating, right?" exct.
