Besides, we need this thread more than the bread most days anyway.
Yep - I'm in a pretty good mood today. New month. New week. New motivation and determination. Over the past couple of months, I have put on a ton of weight moving things in absolutely the wrong direction. Over the weekend, when I started to feel I needed to let out the belt ANOTHER notch, I said enough was enough. Once I'm done this posting, I'm starting my "new morning routine" which involves less time at the computer and more time exercising - off to the treadmill at 6:30. I've also got a weight loss partner in town here and she's the type of person to kick my behind if I don't stick to the plan.
As to what plan? I don't know. I think it's going to mainly be: "more exercise, eat better & less" and we'll see where we go from there. See how long this motivation lasts - but I have about 6 months to lose about 40 lbs. Doable? With work, I think so....or at least I'll get darn close.I also have an appointment with an optometrist this week to see about getting contacts. To be honest, the idea scares the crap out of me because I've had glasses since I was 7 years old. Kinda scary to be (possibly) losing them after more than 25 years.... People who have them do say it's life changing though.
Anyhoo - No time for personal notes but rest assured that I read everyone's posts, usually multiple times a day. You guys are far too awesome - and some great role models - to just ignore.
And an extra
for Mo, Michelle and anyone else who's down in the dumps.Keep smiling. As long as the weight is coming off - even if it's slow - you're doing the right thing. You didn't pack the pounds on in 2 weeks, don't expect them to drop just as fast.

Glad you were responsible enough to put it aside though.
