Bragg's Amino Acids: What? Why? How?

  • Hi there, my mom just gave me a bottle of Bragg's amino acids and told me to start using it. Does anybody use this product? It tastes almost like a soy sauce. I've made one salad dressing with it, but that's about it. How do you use it? Why do you use it? Is this some wacky hoax?

    Thoughts, ideas, suggestions? Thanks!
  • Use it just as you would soy sauce (marinades, dressings, dips, stir fried foods, steamed veggies, soups etc.).

Some people say it is healthier than soy sauce and others think it is not healthy at all. It's a mystery!
  • My understanding is that it's basically unfermented low-sodium soy sauce. I use it because it's low in sodium, I don't know about all those supposed added benefits of "liquid-aminos".
  • I personally feel like Bragg's sauce is a batch of chemicals. There is very little natural in it--it's all additives and supplements.

I would much rather use actual fermented soy sauce and tamari (wheat free) than Bragg's.

Can you share with us what makes you think that? The makers claim it is just non-GMO certified soybeans and purified water only (no alcohol, preservatives, additives, no coloring agents, or chemicals).
