healthy but sweet snack

  • banana chips

    Slice a banana and put it in the oven (on foil in a tray) on medium heat for 20mins til banana has dried

    it's sweet so you'll get your sweetness kick, takes longer to eat than a piece of fruit....and not naughty!
  • Do they turn out crispy, like the dried bananas one can buy in the store?

    How thin did you slice them, and how long did you bake them?

  • I could be wrong, but I think I read that the banana chips that you buy in the store are actually deep-fried, and not the healthiest choice. My favourite sweet-but-healthy snack lately has been frozen grapes. They go kind of slushy...
  • I like frozen blueberries. mix them into a bit of nonfat low calorie plain yogurt. mmmmm
  • I love banana chips! I may need to pull out my food dehydrator and make some. Apples are good too! I love apple chips with a little cinnamon.
  • Banana chips are awesome! i get mine from the organic store around the corner and I usually eat them all alone.
