Sacre bleu! It seems obesity has quadrupled in France during the last 20 years or so.

Yet another downside of the global economy. It seems that La Belle France is picking up some distinctively American habits (rushed lunches, fast and processed food, suburban living, etc.)

Paging Alanis Morrissette -- isn't it ironic, that a lot of people here are trying to emulate a way of life that is giving way to exactly what we are trying to STOP doing?

Thanks to globalization they now have access to our western fatty processed foods,

I didn't know 65% of America was overweight. Wow, am I a minority since I am not clinically overweight now?

That was such an odd (and unexplained) leap of logic from increasing obesity to rising divorce rates.
