Egg Substitute and other questions

  • Hi,

I was going through the LA Lite Cookbook to find some ideas for breakfast and I was just curious what a serving of egg substitute is. In the cookbook it says 1/2 c to 3/4 per serving depending on your plan...so I looked up what I am allowed and it says 1 cup...that can't be right...I am so confused as to what plan I am on now.
I think I am eating way too much. I am starting week 4 and I have only lost 2lbs...that is pretty pathetic. They told me I should be losing about 2 lbs / week. What am I doing wrong.
  • A serving of Egg Beaters is 1/4 cup which has 30 calories. Hope that helps.
  • The answer is - it depends on what plan you are on.
If you are following a numbered plan, one cup of egg substitute is a serving.
If you are following a colored plan (red, blue, purple, etc), the serving size is smaller. I have a red book and a serving is 3/4 cup; for gold it is 1/2 cup.

Pumpkinisland, take a look at your monthly diary and in the upper left hand corner in a circle, is a number if you are on one of the numbered plans. If you are on a color plan, the color of your booklet and monthly menu diary will tell you what plan you are on. If all else fails, you will need to ask your Center what plan you are on. Because you are not using the lite bars, you were moved to a higher food plan and that is why it seems like you have so much food.

Things have gotten very confusing because, as I understand it, the corporate centers are staying with the colored plans and the franchise centers are switching to numbered plans.
  • Lynx thanks so much for your answer!!!
    I am on plan 4!!
So is it 1 cup that I am really allowed? That seems like so much!! Is there anyone else on Plan 4 with no lites? How are you finding it?
