TV series X-weighted

  • just saw a canadian tv on sky called x-weighted the episode was about a woman called kendra wanting to lose about 40lbs. she explained that last year she lost 40lbs on a 300kcal a day diet! 300? as the show went on she dismissed the diet that she was given swore carbs were pretty much the anti christ and was eating 800kcal a day!

where do these people get such crap info from? who ever is saying 300 or 800kcal a day is healthy and worth doing for a 190lb active mother should be shot.

300 kcal is stupid thats not even breakfast, and 800 is breakfast and morning snack.
  • I am a huge fan of X-weighted and the new season has some fabulous people they are profiling. I think this was an old episode and if I am remembering correctly didn't the nutritionist quit on her -- got up and walked out because she was being so silly about her low calories etc etc.

I am struggling with a huge plateau right now -- I know better and I get so encouraged with the people that do well eating right and exercising even more. I know what to do -- I just can't seem to put it in action right now.

    Struggling on!!!
  • I love X-weighted, Most people follow the nutritionalists diet and do fairly well, I dont know why you'd go on a show like that if you dont want to follow the plan.
  • the nutritionist did quit on her she had to find a new trainer. she lost loads of weight although looking at her after i wouldn't have said that much.
  • Quote: I dont know why you'd go on a show like that if you dont want to follow the plan.
Amen! This frustrates me to no end. Why knowingly go on a show if you're just going to whine and moan and not follow the expert's advice! Reminds me of Nanny 911...the parents fight changing their ways and when they finally cave and try it, they're astonished to see the new system working! Hmmm....

How did she not end up in the hospital on 300cal. a day? I think birds consume more than that...literally.
  • Pass it wasn't on the show it was before the show. the guy was saying 1200kcal is the minimum you need to get all the nutritents you need to survive.
  • I watch X-weighted too and like the show...I also remember that show with Kendra...I was so happy when the dietician gave her heck for what she was doing and then quit on her because she was sabotaging herself.
