Hi I am new and have a mini goal of 10lbs by Thanksgiving

  • Hi All,
    Here is my short story and I am glad to be here, all!
    I found this site a week ago and decided I needed to join. This looks like an awesome place for support and help and acceptance. I have read some threads and journals and was very inspired by some before and after pictures I saw. You all should be very proud of yourselves!!!
    I have gained about 60lbs in the last 2 years and now is the time to start taking it off. (I used to be a fitness instructor for 3 years and have worked in an office now for about 2.5 years.) Weight loss is my first thought when I wake up and last thought when I go to sleep (and 30 minutes of pilates a week just wasen't working for me).
    As I said in my profile, I have been clean off drugs for a year now, (and plan to be the rest of my life!)... and it seems I have replaced it with eating!!! My gift to myself is to work on my weight. I know it will make me happy. I am in an awesome relationship and now it is time for me to ACT on what I want and begin my journey.
    I did 20 miuntes of cardio and stretching on Saturday.
    1/2 pilates on Sunday- and I can feel my muscles comming back (I have been doing pilates for a while now)
    and 25 minutes of cardio today.
    I have decided to work on my fitness and getting moving, and hope that will inspire me to work on my diet as time goes on.
    Mini goal of 10 lbs by Thanksgiving!

  • Thanks so much for welcoming me. Rakel, I really liked some of the things you wrote in your profile. I know I have asked myself those same questions about how did I get here on the scale and why didn't I take control sooner?!? It is awesome to know that I am not crazy, but there are so many of us here working together. Thanks for the comments all and I'll keep you updated.

  • Hi guys, back in the game, I went out drinking last Sat and fell off the wagon for about a week as far as my DIET. I have worked out 2x this week, but my motivation is dragging. Time for me to get back up and dust myself off so that I can still meet my mini-goal. Funny how I wouldn't come to 3FC because I knew I was doing poorly. But REALITY CHECK. I am back baby!
