  • Morning All,
    Time for another work week. Hope everyone had a nice relaxing weekend.
    This week I start the afterschool program for 2.5 hours each night Monday through Thursday. So I won't be getting home until 6:30 or later depending on if I have some errands to run. So you will probably only hear from me in the mornings and late evenings. Unless I can sneak onto my computer at work and check out the website during the day.
    Hanna, glad you had a wonderful time at the fair. Sounds like you all had a fun weekend spending time together. Hope nothing too serious is wrong with your dog.
    Michelle, you cracked me up about your comment! Glad to see that sense of humor of yours coming back. Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

  • morning all..i'm still worn out from yesterday....note to self - when going on long hikes...got to bed way earlier than 10.30 lol. Glad to hear most are doing well

    joan - dh does have classes m-f, that's why it wouldn't be so bad about lack of weekend if he had more time off during the weekday.

    hannah - glad you had fun at the fair. Hope the little pup is ok...its probably either his anal glands or a small "hot spot". Hope it all goes well.

    alright..i'm off to get ready for work...i work a normal persons work week today..mon-fri and have the whole weekend off...woohooo

    Have an interview at 9 this AM. Short term temp thing, but hey, it's something!

  • Good Morning everyone

    Busy weekend me and DH went to billings he spent too much $$. We had fun though.

    I spoke in church yesterday probably 150 people maybe more.

    It was cold here they even predicted snow yesterday but today it is suppose to be 70.

    Kerry: Sounds like you are going to be putting in a day Mon-thurs. Good luck!

    GG: You are a go getter on the exercise. I start volleyball tonight. Maybe that will motivate my slow moving butt!

    Lauren: The healy thing oh ya! My dd has a pair and she would go to the store with me and not having them long she was getting used to her balance drove me NUTS, I told her flat out If you are going with me wear normal shoes. She does now.

    Got to check in from work. Yeah! My Monday is going well so far! Finally getting into a routine with my students. Which is great!
    GG hope that you have a good day at work! Sorry to hear that you are so sore today. Hope your soreness goes awhile soon.
    Lauren hope that your interview goes well. What kind of temp. job would it be? I hate it when my stepkids wear their heely's out in public with me. Since they have to try and show off to anyone who they think is watching them.
    Shelia, glad you had a great weekend with your dh. Yes my Mondays through Thursdays will be long ones. I am hoping that I can enjoy and relax on the weekends and not have to plan catch up from everything else that was put on the back burner doing the week.

  • Good Morning Everyone! Yup.... another week of work!
    This weekend just flew by! Took my daughter to the harbor at the beach and had lunch and she rode the carousel and played games. It was fun!

    GG you motivate me to try to exercise more! I am starting tonight to take the dog out every single night even if I can only get a few minutes I have to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Lauren - good luck on the interview! Let us know!

    Kerry have a great week with your kiddos! What age group do you have?

    Sheila - have fun with the volleyball thing! Is it like an open gym type thing? I played volleyball for about 15 years - all through high school and college. Love it! Great exercise too! Got yourself some good kneepads??

    Interview went well. It's an admin position. A month or two, but could go longer, or perm. Company is in the midst of a possible reorg./buyout. Doesn't pay enough though. If they come up at least 3/hr., I'd take it.

    Have another interview tomorrow for a direct hire. I don't want to go that far, and I have to do more friggin' testing, but I agreed to it...where is my spine?!
  • Hi all! Didnt do much this weekend. Spent time with the kids. My sister and brother had me whatch theirs for a little while so it was crazy for a bit. Bella had her physical today and checked out great. I have to co to Concord today to get Sophie's medical straightened out. Stinks to have her on a diff. medical plan sometimes. She has a dr. appt in a week.

    I have been increasing my workouts and now doing 1 hr or so. I do the bike for 30 mins and weights, ab lounger for 30 mins and some high stair stepping, etc.

    I am having a little trouble with calories though. I usually have a breakfast bar in the morning, a lean cuisine at lunch and a healthy dinner (since thats all I have in the house). Well, my calories are averaging 800 or so. I have added in snacks like an apple, string cheese, wasa cracker and still not getting to 1000 or 1200 per day often. I know I should increase my calories to get myself there but I am not hungry for more and am not really even that hungry at meal times. What should I do?
  • I am new here and just wanted to say hello-- I am 32 with a 13 month old little girl who keeps me busy. Not busy enough, though, that I lost all the weight I gained I signed up for WW and am using that but haven't liked their boards too much. This board seems really motivating and encouraging and I am excited to be a part of it.

  • Shoegal! Everyone on this site is just great! Everyone can relate to putting on the baby weight! My daughter is four and I am still trying to get it off! HA!

    Laurie - You do need to squeeze in some more calories.... Even maybe a piece of whole wheat toast in the morning with some avacado on it and salt and pepper... It's the good kind of fat and will give ya some energy.... Even though you don't feel hungry try to squeeze in another snack here and there. Maybe a smoothie in the afternoon? The Yoplait Smoothies that they sell at the grocery store are actually very good when you are in a hurry and want a snack!

    Lauren - glad the interview went well! You are too funny - who knows.... you may get a good feeling about the interview tomorrow!

    Kerry: when you figure out the secret of not leaving something behind on that back burner call me girl friend I want that secret! LOL

    Shoegal: Welcome We have a good time here and are always glad for newbies to climb aboard. We are all in the same boat from needing to loose 5 pounds to 100 pounds.

    Laurie: Maybe you could even try a granola bar or a home made smoothie or great idea about the store bought smoothie's what are you going to do when you crash with only having that little of calories? I would be starving.......... One thing I did because I do the ww meals and lean c meals. I did stew and home made soups and would freeze them in the amounts for me. They were fast and I got a variety. Food for thought.

    Lauren: Go with your gut feeling on this one. Those adm. jobs they need to pay the big $$ lost of headaches.

    Slim: Sounds like you had fun at the beach. Yes it is just a city league volleyball. I like it. Hopefully it will get me more motivated.

    I'm pretty tired today, I have to take the little guy to the vet at 10, I don't have a lot of energy today. I will try to get to the gym after the vet but I don't know if I will be able to do much I have a busy afternoon, have to pick Sean up from school today and go do 2 appointments, I think we are going to eat out tonight since we are going to be gone all afternoon.

  • Morning everyone Hope every one had a great weekend! Mine was good - I saw an old friend from HS. Have to admit I was nervous being that a I am a little anit-social since my weight gain. No worries though - seems like we all gained a bit
    Well the boyfriend was extremely affectionate yesterday This is confusing because he is NOT NOT NOT an affectionate persone by ANY means. I'm lucky to get a small squeeze of a hug from him when he gets home. I asked him what was up and he said it was he had not seen to much of me during the week and weekend So, I was a little surprised when he pulled me in for hugs throughout the day and once to lay on the couch with him. I have to admit - I got butterflies, and you should have seen the grin I must have had on my face. So funny to get all goofy about such silly things, being that we have been together for 3 years. Whatever! I was one happy girlfriend

    Hanna - I feel special! You thought of me I hope your doggy is ok

    GG - I saw your pics - beautiful!! I love that sore feeling - it always makes me think i got a great workout - i almost never feel it now that I workout all the time now

    LBH - Job searching - STRESSFUL! Im doing the same thing right now.

    Laurie - Not enough calories!!!! It's hard I know - I could go all day without eating - and I have done some damage to my metabolism wih bad habits like that!!

    KAR - Hope your day runs smooth!

    Slim - The weekend always flies by doesn't it?

    Sheila - OMG - 150 people??? I have spoken in front of my college Economics class - but that was like 35 people - and the first time I instructed my strip aerobics class was to 50 women.(that worked my nerves a little, but i had friends that said i looked like i had been doing it forever) but 150!!! Were you nervous??

  • Blue: Yes I was nervous at first for about 20 sec and then I was fine. My talk was for 15 min. So I thought I did pretty well.

    Looks like everyone had a good weekend for the most part. I did ok, got alot done around the house. Still stuck at the same weight and need to get motivated, how many weeks in a row have a I said this? Is anyone having some fabulous sucess and want to share?
