how many days of headaches??

  • I am on day 2 and my head has hurt terribly both days- any tips ? how long did you experienced gals go through this-
  • Oh, I feel like I was back to myself by day 5 or so, maybe 4. I don't really remember. I just know that I had headaches, felt weak, tired, and generally "icky." (Malaise I think is the technical term.) I even went through ketosis where I had a funny smell up my nose for a day or so. But it was day 4 or 5 and I suddenly had all kinds of energy and my only remaining issue was that I couldn't..... poop.

But there are ways around that too. You'll be alright. Good luck to you and congrats on making a healthy lifestyle change!
  • weezle- thanks for the warning- i thought somehow i was going to be better tommorrow-

we have similiar stats- your weight loss is incredible- i know how hard it can be for us short gals- your inspiring to me!!
  • savannah, you may feel better tomorrow. Everybody is different. I didn't get headaches, I just remember feeling very out of sorts and cranky. But from reading posts over the last few months, it seems like whatever form the "flu" takes, most people are really starting to feel good by day 4 or so. Hang in there, I hope you feel better soon!
  • Savannah, you just have to find what works for you and stick with it. It has to be a lifestyle change though, not just a "diet." Trust me, it hasn't been the easiest thing.... I've finally officially lost 35 lbs in the last 3 years. I go UP down UP down UP down.... for some reason it seems to be sticking lately.

    You can totally do this!
  • I remember the headaches. What helped me - drinking more milk (I wasn't drinking enough) and eating some beans everyday.
  • I just started Phase I for the first time ever on Monday. I had headaches too. I figured it was a sugar withdrawal type thing, so I had some Crystal Light (contains sugar alcohols instead of sugar/corn syrup) along with my regular 64 oz. of water. It's day 5 for me and I feel fine. My headaches lasted 3-4 days...I had a very mild one yesterday but not nearly what I had on Tuesday.

Honestly, the only reason I stuck it out was because I've already started seeing a difference on the scale...a drastic one compared to pre-SBD. It's so very worth it.
  • Everyone is different... I had headaches (and was tired, nauseas and a little weak) on Days 2 and 3. I felt much better on Day 4 and by the end of the week I felt great.

Eat all your veggies, beans and dairy... it will make you feel a little better.

Hang in there... it is so worth it!
