Hi, I'm new and starting today!

  • Hi all,

First, I have to say that I just love this site!! I'm starting south beach today so I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Angie, I'm 33 yrs old and I have 3 children ages 14,12 and 6. I'm married to a wonderful man and I'm currently going to college full time to be a RN. I enjoy camping, fishing and reading. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you. I'm on my way to a better me! Good luck to you all on your journeys!

  • hey!!! Welcome to the site, and GL
  • Welcome. This is a great place for support and motivation. Good luck with South Beach. That's the plan I have been following and have had real good results. As alot of us, I have *dieted* more times than I care to remember. This plan showed me a new lifetime way of eating and it was actually easy.
  • Thank you all so much for the warm welcome! I will need the support!

    You guys are doing awesome!!

I found some recipes for phase 1 and I'm trying the salsa chicken tonight. I think the recipes are a stape for this diet. Anyway, Thanks again!!
  • Hi,
I just joined today and am excited to have finally made the decision to get on the stick here and lose some weight. I am living in Canada, just relocated here from California for my husbands work. I plan to lose 40 pounds. I like reading, gardening, fishing, camping and spending time with my husband and kids. I'm hoping to find a support group on 3fatchicks to join. Thanks
  • Hi there losingincanada . . . .

You've definitely come to a great place for lots of support as you travel the long winding road to better health and fitness. This is a big site, so have a good wander round and just jump in and start posting whenever something catches your eye. I know you will always receive a very warm welcome from everybody along the way.

I realize your not exactly a Canuck but come on over and join us on The Crazy Canuks Cluck Club anyway. Here's a link to the current August thread . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=119420

Maybe we can help you become more familiar with your adopted country. In what part of the country are you living? I was born and raised in Toronto; lived a number of years in Kitchener/Waterloo (still in Ontario) and have been living in Nova Scotia for the past 13 years or so.

Anyway, Chickie . . . hope you have a great evening and I'll be looking forward to seeing you again really soon . . .
  • Good luck with your efforts!
