Question about coffee...

  • I'm not sure whether anyone knows the answer to this but... I like milk in my coffee. Not cream, but I don't like it black either. When I start Wave 1, can I have some of my cereal milk in my coffee? I don't see why not, especially since she says you can have 1tsp cream, but it's not clearly addressed.

Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this? I'm happy to drink tea (usually herbal) during the day but do like coffee with DH in the morning.

  • Hi Jax - I'm not on the Sonoma Diet, so maybe this isn't relevant, but for what it is worth, milk is milk, as far as I can tell. I calculate my skim milk in my breakfast calories for the whole day - whether I put it in my coffee, on my cereal, in my tea... whatever, whenever. I can't see why it would make a difference regardless of what diet you are following, but maybe someone else has more insight than me!

  • I don't think that's a problem at all. What I love about this program, is it IS flexable. I think it's a judgement call... and I say, a bit of milk is not an issue.
  • I go ahead and have milk in mine.
  • Jax-you don't want to know what I do......
I'm a coffee freak. I make cappucino every day and refuse to give it up so I still have cappucino every day-milk and all. Probably not Sonoma approved but that is not negotiable for me. I can fat free on the milk, carb count down on the milk, sugar free, etc, but the cappucino stays.
