  • For those who don't mind answering this question, I'm just curious as to others are doing this, I realize it may be a bit personal.

    1. How many calories on average do you consume in a day?
    2. How active would you say you are?
    3. How many pounds on average do you lose a week?
    4. What is your current weight.

I guess it's only fair to answer this myself.
    1. 1500
    2. Lightly
    3. 2.5
    4. 318
  • 1. Not a calorie counter.
    2. Moderately
    3. 2-3.5
    4. 270.8

  • 1. 1500-1800
    2. Moderate (60 min 6 days week walking-give or take a few min)
    3. 1-3 lbs avg
    4. 245
  • I do Weight Watchers and so don't count calories. But, assuming a rough 50 calories per point and assuming I'm OP and losing:

    1. 1300-1700 per day
    2. light to moderate exercise when I'm actually losing - sedentary when I'm not.
    3. 1-2 lbs a week
    4. 226 or so.
  • 1. 1500 - 1800 calories a day
    2. light to moderate most days.
    3. 1 - 2 lbs a week
    4. Last time I checked it was 292. Probably a couple of pounds higher right now, but I'm not checking until Sunday.
  • 1. 1600-2000 calories a day
    2. Light to moderate
    3. 1-2 lbs. a week
    4. As of this morning, 307
  • 1. 1400-1800
    2. I have on and off days. I'm probably sedentary 3 days a week, light 2 days, and moderate the other 2, with maybe two days a month of intense.
    3. 1-2 pounds usually, but I have long periods of plateau and try not to weigh too often because I go nuts about it.
    4. 383 as of this morning.
  • 1.) 1500 - 1800
    2.) Light exercise
    3.) 1-2lbs per week
    4.) 244
  • This is interesting. One would think that with the calorie ranges we are eating, and our current weights, we would be losing weight faster than most of us are.

I agree, especially when my daughter, who weighs 154 right now, was told by the doctor today to go no lower than 1500 calories a day. She has anywhere between 11-15 pounds left to lose and eats very well.

So, if she's supposed to be at 1500 and I do that usually twice a week on my plan, with an average of 1700 calories per week, you'd think I would have dropped another 20 pounds by now. I've lost 40 so far, but the last two weeks, I admit, I have fallen off plan a bit due to an increase in exercise. I'm lucky I've maintained my weight.

Anyhow, to reply to the OP's post:

    1. 1500-2250 calories per day, averages to 1700 (Wendie Plan in calories)
    2. Light to Moderate
    3. 2-3 pounds per week average
    4. 258
  • 1. 1200-1300 Calories a day.
    2. Fairly intense 4 days a week; moderate 2 days and 1 day I sit on my butt.
    3. 55 lbs. in 13 weeks is 4.23/wk.
    4. Started at 292.

I have to work pretty hard to get in the 1200-1300 calories; I just don't seem interested in eating that much right now. It's such a nice change from being stuffed to the gills but it's weird. Even at 292 I don't think I could have lost weight at 1800-2000 calories; I'm pretty sure that's going to be my maintenance range.
  • 1. I aim for 1700
    2. Lightly/mod - 35 mins cardio 6x a week plus 20 min pilates every morning (working up to 60 mins cardio slowly)
    3. I dont really know this yet... I bought a scale a couple weeks ago
    4. 291 this morning... wont know for sure till saturday
  • 1. Between 1600 - 1800
    2. Moderate? Not sure how to define this. I try to get an hour in per day if possible, but I have a desk job.
    3. When I am on plan, around 2 pounds per week.
    4. 264
  • 1. 1400-1800 (Suposed to be about 1250 on non-exercise days)
    2. Sedentary (work at home) but cardio 6 days a week 45min-1.5 hours
    3. Was about 2.5 but I think it might be slowing down. Sigh.
    4. 265
  • 1. Currently - 1300 - 1400 per day. I started around 1800 - 2000 calories per day and have been lowering them as I plateau
    2. Sedentary/light activity during most of the day. I try to exercise 45 minutes 5 - 6 days per week
    3. Has ranged from a high of about 2.5 lbs per week to less than a lb a week now.
    4. 188, started at 346
