  • Hello and Welcome!

Glad you decided to join. You are the best judge of your body. Good for you!
  • Hello and wlecome. I am new as well. I have been on many diets before over the years and I have finally decided that enough is enough. I am in control of my body and I control what goes into it. Starting anything is hard but once you get used to it it becomes easier over time. Take it one day at a time.
  • Hi there and welcome. I'm sure you'll get to know people pretty quickly. My husband was the same, always telling me I looked great and I wasn't overweight, but I knew I was, I decieded to lose weight for myself because I knew I'd be happier and it really helped. Let us know how you're getting on.
  • I can totally understand! I am currently 3st over my goal weight at least, but my friends and family still think I'm beautiful and I look ok for my height.

I hope you can find everything you're looking for here! The people are so kind and generous!

    Welcome!!!
  • Hello there, you will find plenty of people to talk to here, welcome aboard!
  • Hi, Saz. I'm a new member here too and from the same neck of the woods. My DH tells me he likes me the way I am and is not very supportive of my weightloss efforts. I'm telling him its not just about appearance but about health. Its the one thing he can't deny that as I get older the bigger impact my weight has on my health. I've lost over 2st in 3 months and already seeing the benefit on my knees when climbing the stairs.

Stick with it an keep telling yourself that this is something you're doing for yourself - you are allowed to be selfish once in a while.

    See you in the natterings

    Hi and welcome!

I've just come back after a month of "falling off the dieting wagon" and my story is pretty much the same as yours. I get sick of everyone saying "Oh you look fine" and my partner saying "You're not overweight" when clearly, if they were honest I am!

Everyone seems v.supporting on here though

  • Welcome Saz.
My OH say's he liked me the way I was. But I told him I wasn't losing weight for him I was doing it for myself. I was fed up of buying bigger and bigger clothes. Thankfully now I can buy smaller and sell my old ones to pay for them.
