Anyone tried Curves cereal & bars?

  • I saw an ad for these on sale at the grocery store this week. I'm going to go to the store today, check the nutrition stats (can't find them online yet) and maybe buy a box or two. Has anyone tried them yet? Like them/don't like them?
  • I bought the Curves chocolate peanut chewy granola bars. They have 100 calories, 3.5 grams of fat, 5 grams of fiber, and 2 grams of protein. This is just my opinion, but I really did not like them all that much because they were not filling. They will come in handy when I am in a hurry in the morning or when I need something quick. They were a little pricey, but I had a coupon. For 40-60 calories more, I will probably stick with my FiberOne granola bars.
  • Hi ~

Curves cereal was on sale so I bought a box. I like it, just a bare hint of sweetness and GREAT stats:

    3/4 = 1 serving

    Without Milk:

Cal 100; Fat Cal 5; No Chol; Sodium 180 mg; Potassium 65 mg; Total Carb 22g; Fiber 2g; Sugars 4gm; Other Carb 16g; Protein 2g.

First few ingred: Whole grain rice; whole grain wheat; sugar; rice; wheat bran; ...

box front says "with 16g of Whole Grain

I snack on it and have it plain with my a.m. yogurt.
  • I buy two boxes a week. I like the Chocolate Peanut ones. They are not too sweet and a perfect after dinner dessert since they're only 1 point. I love Fiber One bars too, but sometimes don't want the extra point at the end of the night.
  • The cereal was on sale at my local store recently for 2.00 a box , plus I had a coupon for 1.10 off a box, so how could I pass up a box of cereal for .90?

I got the one type that is 100 calories per serving. That have another one that I think is 150-160 cals a serving but they were out of that one when I got mine. The 100 calorie one was quiet good, not really enough fiber for me to have it all the time but was tasty. Something I'd use more for a snack than a morning cereal.
  • I tasted the cereal at my Curves and looked at the label. It taste OK, but I'll stick with my Kashi, which has so much more fiber and fewer calories.

The granola bars are OK as well, but really small. I've had them to take the edge off when I'm going from school to working out.
  • These are not meal replacement bars, they are meant to be a snack. They are very good, both flavors. I like the cereal but I prefer Fiber One or Oatmeal on a regular basis.
  • i like the strawberry bars. great as a snack after class or during class. something to do when the teacher is putting me to sleep, i pull out a bar and snack.
