Long time WW New to CORE

  • Long time WW at goal for many years and then slipped and used FLEX to get back to goal. I recently tried a week of CORE but had a .4 gain. Is this common to gain in the beginning? Also has anyone come up with any type of homemade CORE chips. On Flex I make my own chips using whole wheat pita bread that I bake in the oven. I've come up with a CORE hummus but I'm looking for some type of CORE chip. I know the WW book says corn tortillas are not CORE but what about fresh tortillas that are made with cornmeal, lime juice and water only??
  • annie. it's good to have you here. congratulations on getting to goal. as to your gain on core--i'm not sure what happened unless maybe you ate more than you had been eating lately. or maybe it was just a water retention problem. i don't know.

    your homemade tortillas sound core to me. could you post the recipe for us? are you planning to make chips out of them?

    have you tried slicing potatoes really really thin. soaking them in salty ice water then baking them on a rack in the oven @ 400*? that might work.
