Saturday I went to the bridal salon to try on *my* dress for the first time (not the sample). It was a powerful moment for me. I've been hovering around 170 for a few weeks, and to be honest, was kind of in a funk about it. But when I saw myself in my dress, it really made me realize that even if I'm plateauing right now, I've still got a lot to be proud of. I'm aiming for around another 10 pounds gone before my wedding on October 6th...but honestly, I felt so beautiful in my dress that I could get married tomorrow with it still wrinkly and not hemmed and be ecstatic about it.



This was me in June 2005. Around 225-230 pounds.








On Saturday, 170 pounds.
