For years I have been waking up several times a night to go to the bathroom and then I fix myself something to eat. Every night! I've been googling trying to figure out what the heck is going on with me and yesterday finally hit on this: http://www.ivillage.co.uk/health/ghe...182203,00.html. That's me to a "T". I also have Restless Legs Syndrome to go along with it, and I've suffered from RLS as far back as I can remember.
I summoned up the courage to visit my new PCP today (second visit) and asked him if he would prescribe Zoloft for me. That particular drug is mentioned in the book as a treatment, and I'm hoping it will also help with the anxiety that I've been experiencing, probably going back to when my mom died so unexpectedly iin January of 2005.
So, I'm wondering if anyone is suffering from Night Time Eating Syndrome, or RLS, or has ever taken Zoloft? I'm always apprehensive when I start a new medicine. He's started me off taking 25 mg at supper for two weeks, then up it to 50 mg after that, and I see him again in six weeks.
Thanks for any and all input!

That is really tough. I know that I am only half conscious when I get up in the middle of the night and it would be really hard to stop myself eating if I had that inclination. It is also really hard when you are trying to drink more water and that causes you to get up more in the night. That is great that you talked to your doctor about your symptoms. I hope that the Zoloft helps.
