  • Just facts....I'm struggling. I have let a few things creep in (such as a little smidge of cookie dough as well as one of the finished cookies, a few of DH's sun chips, some trail mix, and a few misc. items I had already let go of). I have also not exercised one time this week. This is JUST a face-the-facts session for me. I absolutely REFUSE to let this get the best of me. I've come TOOOOOOOO far to quit now. It is just amazing to me that this happens almost unnoticeably...even when you think you are being careful during the craziness of life. Anyway...I just had to make myself type all this. As I have said many times, 2007 WILL BE my year. This detour is over as of RIGHT NOW - Saturday, 7-14-07, 8:16 CST. It is over.

Whew....... for letting me get this off my chest. This has just been a wake up call for myself.
  • You can DOOOOO it!
  • Yay. Stick with it, you are doing great!
  • Hang in there Ritzy....you can do it! Look how close you are to Onederland! Kick those old habits to the curb and embrace all the positive changes you've made. We're all here for you!
  • This IS your year -- look how far you've come!! You're doing an amazing job so far! We all slip and lose focus sometimes -- it's part of being human. The important part is that you haven't lost your commitment. You can do this -- you know you can!!! And we're here cheering you on!
  • Yes, keep speaking positive over yourself, just think when your goal is met you will look back and know that all your struggling and hardwork was worth it!!!
  • You can do it!!! Tomorrow will be a better day!
  • Hanf in there, Ritzy! You can make this just an insignificant blip on the radar by jumping back on track!
  • You can do it Ritzy! I admire what you've done so far!
  • Keep it up! You have the right attitude to attack this with success.

  • I've never been happy that I have so much weight to lose, but this is one of the benefits of it. We can slip, recommit, and know that we have the ability to deal with setbacks. I'm sure that when we hit maintenance, those skills will come in handy.

I just noticed that we are roughly the same weight. I started my journey the day after my birthday, and I am just as determined that this year of my life will be the year I finally conquer this weight thing as you are that 2007 will be yours. How great it will be to reach the end (well, at least the goal) of this journey together!
  • I think everyone has times like this, the best thing you did is to stop it . You have lost so much, I know you can do this!! Just remember today is a new day.

  • I agree that most of us take a detour along our way during our weight loss journey's. The lucky ones are the ones that get back on the main road again before they get totally lost and it sounds like you fit in that category!! Yesterday is now in the past so learn from it and then move on!

    You can do this!!
  • Thanks Ritzy for starting this thread. I slipped yesterday and have beating myself up ever since. The advice you have gotten is great and I plan to take it for myself. Today is a new day and I will do better!!
