  • Hi my name is Pita and tonight I weighed in and discovered that I am exactly 100 lbs overweight. I have been on vacation for the last three weeks and gained 10 lbs during that time. I had been hoping the gain wasn't that much but the scales at Curves have revealed the ugly truth.

So, looks like y'all have another newbie to add to your support group. I have read around this board for the last couple of days. ( I had a feeling I would end up here. ) and have done a profile at the top. I started a blog tonight as well.

I am bound and determined to become so involved around here that I don't have time to think about food!!

I look forward to getting to know everyone and share the support we all so need to reach out goals.
  • Welcome! I often find that I spend so much time on here, I forget that I was hungry in the first place. It's helpful, and maybe a little obsessive. Look forward to hearing more from you!
  • Welcome!

  • Hi there! Nice to meet you
  • This is a wonderful tool, Pita! We're glad you found your way here. (And, truth to tell, we would have accepted you even if you only had 99 pounds to lose!)
  • Good morning! Thank you all so much for the warm welcomes

I have to tell you about my dream last night. I'm at Curves and all the machines are gone but there are these giant yo-yos hanging from the ceiling. I'm sitting on top of one of these giant yo-yos along with people like my mother, sister, and a couple of good girl friends. All of us have weight issues. We are talking about how sick and tired we are of going up and down with our weight and I start yelling for someone to get me off this yo-yo. At this point I wake up.

How's that for a symbolic dream?
  • Pita -- Welcome!

I know what you mean about not wanting to think about food, but one of the keys to my success is thinking about food -- a lot. By that I mean that success comes from planning planning planning. And that means I have to think about what I'm going to eat, and what I have eaten, so I don't eat too much. Kind of crazy, huh?

But this place is a great distraction, for sure!!
  • Hi Pita

    Glad you are here.

  • You'll love it here!!
  • Welcome! I'm sorry you had to join us, but there is a great support group.
  • How did you all make the yo-yo's wind back up?
  • Quote: How did you all make the yo-yo's wind back up?

I believe through the magic of the dream process they wound themselves up all on their own.

Thanks again for the warm welcome. I'm loving this place!
