I use both, actually. At my current weight, pounds don't budge that easily nor that fast, but since I've resumed weight-lifting (*grumbles* and I hope I'll stop being sick soon enough so that I can go back on Monday...), I have hopes that I'm going on losing a few inches. Right now, I have a 'target jeans' that I've bought recently--a size 6 that mostly fits, I can sit down while wearing it, but it's still pretty tight on my problem areas (but of couuuurse). That would be one of my non-scale ways of measuring my progress as well. When it completely fits, I'll be glad.
