Question from a total noob: I realize that it's unusual to find these items in a grocery store. I should look at a natural foods store. But assuming I'd like to look in my local grocery store, what section do I look in? What do these things look like? Refridgerated, frozen, canned? Thanks.
I have found tempeh in the refrigerated section of the larger grocery stores, the same section as tofu and soy-based alternatives to hot dogs, sausages, etc. It's my favorite part of the store! Ok, well, second to the wine section.
Here is a good, basic and easy to follow seitan recipe. Be sure you get the right flour! It's so affordable and for those who don't have access to such things, it's easy enough to make your own at home! (Isa's other recipes at her site are awesome too) - The postpunkkitchen.com
