Which one do you prefer and why?
I have only been tracking my calories closely for about a week and have tried both. Thus far I prefer The Daily Plate because it seems to have more food choices.
Definitely daily plate -- I haven't found anything yet that wasn't on there that I needed.
Daily Plate is definitely my preference. Fit Day always annoyed me when I used it, DP is a much better user interface. I do wish, however, that it had the same graphs and charts and averages as Fit Day, but perhaps in time they will add those features... I did the Gold Free Trial, and you don't get much else except a "nutrition chart" that lists more than what you can see already. I ended up canceling the gold membership because it didn't seem worth the money... the free version is just fine with me!
I started out using Fitday and switched to mydailyplate for a month, and the other posters are right, there are much more food choices there, but the charts at fitday are great. I am going to switch back to fitday today because I really like the charts.

I've always used FitDay, and I probably won't change. I bought the downloaded version. I like the graphs and charts, and I add a lot of custom foods anyway, so it works for me. I've learned to work with it, and that's what you have to do with any program.

Just a little reminder that does help with Fit Day -- if you go to dietfacts . com after you've logged into fit day, you can select from a wider selection of foods and then most of them have an option at the bottom to add to your fit day and it will put all the info right in there for you!!
Hope that helps a bit.
I tried using fit plate but soon changed to the Daily Plate. I prefer the daily plate interface and a wider selection of foods. I lost 5 pounds so far using the daily plate for two weeks so it's working for me.
Thanks, Shelby! I have tried both and like the ease of fitday altho dailyplate has more food items listed. Now with Shelby's hint, this will be even easier!
