Looking For Support

  • Hi All:

I've been trying to stay motivated for a long time now but it's hard trying to lose on my own. I joined yesterday and have been reading the posts. It seems people are trying different programs to lose weight. I plan on trying to eat healthy and learn to exercise whether I like it or not.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you better and excited that I finally will have the support I need to help reach my goal.

    No more excuses!
  • Welcome Linda!

Keep visiting, keep posting so we can get to know you, and tell us how you are getting on, how you are eating and exercising and so on

    You CAN do this!

  • Hello Linda, and welcome! Glad you are here with us! I agree completely with your plan of eating healthy and exercising whether you like it or not! That is what I am doing also. And I have found that usually when I get started exercising I actually like it. What types of exercise do you like to do?
  • Hi Linda, I have been struggling as well and also trying to eat healthier (no sugar, no white flour). My problem has been exercising. Everytime I convince myself that when I get home from work I will exercise I always come up with an excuse not too. Too tired, it's too hot outside for a walk, or I have other things to do (usually involves sitting on my butt in front of the TV). Plain and simple, I'm lazy.

I have gained 40 pounds in 4 years (I'm 46 years old) and gone from a size 6 to a size 12) which may not be a lot for some people here but for me it is. I am very uncomfortable physically as most of the weight in in my belly area and I always feel like everything in my abdomen is pushed up. You'd think I would be able to motivate myself just based on this. But I haven't been very successful.

However, since finding this site I feel as if I can do what needs to be done, just like you, "no matter what."

I will keep on keeping on.

    Debbie
