Publicly posting my first mini-goal

  • I know there is a thread in the general board about achieving mini goals, but I didn't know where to post what my mini goal is. So I figured I'd post it here!!

    My first mini goal is to get below 200 lbs!!! Not too lofty a goal. I was 206 this morning when I weighed myself. It's 1# higher than I was the 1st or second week in May. Then we traveled a lot and are finally home for a couple weeks until June 29, when we head out for 5 days again around the time of my dh's family reunion.

    So. There it is. I've written it so I really have something to strive for. I have my big end goal, but I think baby steps are a great thing!!

  • I think that is a great mini-goal. One successful mini goal will lead to another successful mini goal which eventually will end in a successful BIG goal!! I know you can do it.

    As a start, my mini goal was just to see the number on the scale drop below 160. It's taken 6 days to do so. Guess my body was gonna do its damndest to hold onto the fat. But i weighed in this morning and am 159. i know it's a very small achievement, but a pound is a pound nonetheless, so i'm happy. Now i'll start setting goals in 5lb incriments.
  • LUVMYFAM.... you got to start with small goals. cause if you look at the whole number then it gets too overwhelming.

    I want to be at 200 by my birthday at the end of sept. so i have 40 pounds to lose. I know it is alot but I am determined to either be at 200 or atleast close to it. atleast 215.....
  • hey - I am new but hope it is ok to be posting --- I think that is a great goal! I recently got under 200 myself and it feels GREAT! If I was focused on all the rest of the weight I still have to lose I would be so overwhelmed that I would give up!
