YEP! I am "pre-diabetic" I am also 47.... at 38 i started having the complete opposite periods from what I had been.... it's normal in perimenopause to do that. I went from being light and irregular to being long heavy and REGULAR.... go figure.
3 years ago I had a procedure called an Ablation so now I barely bleed but i still have all the other stuff that goes with it.
i found that eating better tends to affect our periods as well...
I asked my doctor if i needed to have the hormone test to show i was in perimenopause and he said "nope cause you are and i'm not giving your HRT anyway".... so i suffer along...
