  • yeah yeah yeah - we can outeat you anytime, lala.

what is a pineapple slaw that made it so outstanding? compulsive eaters want to know.
  • You think you can outeat me eh?

I watched the guy next to me, a very rich and very well-travelled guy, eat only his salad, drink a couple of well drinks, a couple of glasses of wine and eat both desserts offered him because he doesn't think plane food is any good.

I watched the guy in the middle section, eat his appetizer, have a g&t and have a fruit plate for his main course. He did have the snack later. I was impressed. Then again, I talked to him at the Airline club later (he had been searched by customs) and he said he flew london-dallas every month. He knew what he needed to keep his girlish figure.

I think that neophytes like me tend to eat everything that is offered to me because it is free and abundant. If I flew transatlantic flights every month, I would decline, but once you are sitting there, you can't help it. I don't sleep that well and sitting on your butt for 10 hours is boring.

At least the portions are small.

so, the coleslaw was a cabbage based one with a nice citrusy and clean tasting dressing. Not oily and very generous. I would have been happy with about two cups of that.
  • lala -
I fly pretty rarely, but I'm like you & usually eat EVERYTHING they put in front of me.
  • Oh absolutely agree with you both. There's nothing else to do on a plane but eat. And it sounds like you were business or first class, Lala, where the living is easy...I even eat the tourist class slop. sigh
