Dressing Room Moment

  • On a shopping trip to get my DD some jeans. I decided to try on some myself. I really only have one pair right now that fit properly. I don't want to buy a lot tho because I'm still losing. So I told the store lady that I wasn't sure what size I wore. I said that I thought I probably wore a 32 because I was wearing a size 10 but that they ran bigger than most. So I started with those and after trying on some more I walked out with a size 8 or a 29. I was so happy. Shocked too!
Not trying to brag but I want to encourage everyone. I've only been on program since February. And already I'm shrinking! It's GREAT! I normally would look in the mirror in the dressing rooms and see a person I didn't recognize. This old frumpy looking girl. (the old me) and now I was actually letting my daughter and store lady check out my backside...hahaha! Who would've thought? Tina
  • That is fantastic. A great NSV. Keep going.
  • What a great moment! I didn't know there were alternatives to standing in a dressing room by yourself, cussing at the mirror, clothes, yourself...

    Ha! Congrats!
  • How fun! Good for you!!!
  • That's awesome! I can't wait to be in that place again. I remember going into AE and trying on a pair of their size 14 jeans and being thrilled that they fit like a glove! I want to be a 14 again!!!!! I actually look pretty small when I'm a 14..probably because I've been chubbo my whole life. To see anything other than 250 lbs is a shock to everyone.

    Good for you....!!!!!!
  • How wonderful for you! Keep up the awesome work!

Wow...I used to stand in the dressing room and just cry! ;( And I normally wouldn't even try anything on because of that. I'd bring it home only to find out that it's toooo small and I'd then put it in my closet for 'when I lose the weight' and then it would go out of style or my taste would simply change and of course I didn't get smaller ~ i'd get bigger. Does this sound familiar? Well, I AM proud that I shrank. I plan on going 'all the way' too..
So, yes it's a good feeling. And made shopping with my daughter enjoyable!
  • That is so great! Keep up the good work!
