Late Night Ramblings From A New One

  • Hi everyone. kinda new here, I've been lurking in the blogs and trying to figure out how to post in the forum, not to mention wondering what to say.. I've found a lot of things I can relate to and learn from and gather strength from. I'm 50 yrs old..struggled with weight all my life. I haven't really given myself a chance to actually lose weight. I'll start to eat healthy, lose a few pounds and then let myself drift back into the bad eating habits. I eat too much and I eat too much of the wrong thing. Which has lead me to be way over weight... So this time I'm going to try to make a real change, not focus so much on rapid weight lose or instant gratification, but rather, just try to make reallistic changes and get long lasting results...
  • Hi Dragonfly!! and congrats on the decision to loose weight. I am the same way, I start a weight loss plan, loose a few and then stop and gain more back. I have decided to stop this downward spiral now. I want to be healthy and now is the time. Good luck on your journey!

  • Thank you for your kind words...It feels very supportive. I've been depressed lately and I'm starting to wonder if it's because I'm letting go of an old friend ..food... do you have any recommendations for regular forum posting? I'm thinking maybe 100 to lose or the 50 + years.. maybe a little of a few different ones
