Q: What's big, kinda old, and has x-ray vision?

  • A: Me. I lied about the x-ray vision.

I live in Michigan,(the U.S. state shaped like a mitten, for those who are geographically impaired).

My kids are grown and managed to survive The Adventures of Diet Mom without being fat themselves. In fact, all five of my grandchildren are slender as well, as are the spouses of both my kids.

I have never really been THIN thin, but I was at least a normal size until my kids were in double digits, and then my ability to reason where food was concerned seemed to go on the fritz.

So now I find myself the leader of my TOPS club (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) and with a little over 100 pounds to lose, I'm one of the largest people there. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

I KNOW what I have to do, and I talk a real good game, I just need to DO it.

Joining this site just seemed like a step in the right direction.

Looking for tons of encouragement from you all. So ready...set...ENCOURAGE me and I'll do the same for YOU!
  • Welcome and good luck.
  • Hi Pepper - and WELCOME!

  • Welcome!! Good luck!!
  • Welcome, and good luck! I'm from Michigan too. And, like you, I need to loose some weight, AGAIN! I'm a nurse and I know what I need to do. Doing it is something else. My son was always thin growing up, but he has put on weight now that he is older also. My grandkids are so skinney we can't find pants that will stay up on their butts!

I'm looking for support, and maybe a swift kick if I fall out of line! Maybe we could support each other?
  • Welcome, love the introduction!!!! There is tons of great information here.
Good luck on the weight loss, you can do it
