Vegetarian refried beans - are they allowed? Which Phases?

  • I'm trying to find a good "meal for one" dinner for myself for tonight. I have some vegetarian refried beans that I was going to have with a little 2% cheddar cheese on them. Is that Phase 1- friendly?
The ingredients in the beans are:
    cooked beans
    water
less than 2% of the following:
    canola oil
    salt
    distilled vinegar
    chile pepper
    onion powder
    spices
    garlic powder
    natural flavor

The NI is (per 1/2 cup serving):
    Calories: 120
    Total fat: 2g
    Saturated fat: 0g
    Trans fat: 0g
    Cholesterol: 0mg
    Sodium: 540mg
    Total Carbohydrate: 19g
    Dietary fiber: 7g
    Sugars: 0g

If anyone knows, that would be great! They aren't on either the Foods to Enjoy or Foods to Avoid lists...but since all the ingredients are on the Foods to Enjoy list, does that make it Phase 1-friendly?
  • Enjoy your supper, your refried beans look fine to me. If you want to save a little on calories, tried to find fat-free refried beans the next time you are shopping.
  • Thanks cottagebythesea! I figured that since the ingredients were all on the okay list, they were probably fine. I ate them for dinner last night, actually, and they were delish! I will look for the fat-free ones next time. These were all I had in the pantry.
