Please Read This - About Chocolate!!!!

  • Chocolate...
    Current mood: full

I've had my hands on a big bar of chocolate today and it got the old brain cells ticking. I love chocolate as do an awful lot of other people, I was wondering if I was the only one who just can't get enough of the stuff. The more I have, the more I want and from the looks of the results I found I'm not alone and I decided to share these words of wisdom discovered while searching for answers.

If you've got melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating it too slowly.

Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices & strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want.

Diet tip: Eat a chocolate bar before each meal. It'll take the edge off your appetite and you'll eat less.

A nice box of chocolates can provide your total daily intake of calories in one place. Isn't that handy?

If you can't eat all your chocolate, it will keep in the freezer. But if you can't eat all your chocolate, what's wrong with you?

If calories are an issue, store your chocolate on top of the fridge. Calories are afraid of heights, and they will jump out of the chocolate to protect themselves.

If I eat equal amounts of dark chocolate and white chocolate, is that a balanced diet? Don't they actually counteract each other?

    Money talks. Chocolate sings.

Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look younger.

    Q. Why is there no such organization as Chocoholics Anonymous?
    A. Because no one wants to quit.

If not for chocolate, there would be no need for control top pantyhose. An entire garment industry would be devastated.

Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done.
MAY NOT HELP US BUT I LAUGHED!!!!

  • Thanks for the chuckle!

I love chocolate, too. I could care less about any other candy, but I refuse to give up my choco I've found that since I switched from milk chocolate to dark chocolate, eating it doesn't bring on hard core cravings, and alot less gives me the same amount of satisfaction.

I've gone from polishing off an entire Oh Henry bar to being good with half a 50% cocoa Hershey's (over 300 calories vs 125). Yay for dark chocolate
  • hahaha i really did like those jokes...

i LOVE chocolate as well, and i have the same problem that when i start i really cant control myself and just want more. i noticed this especially lately because i've been on a diet so i havent been eating chocolate for a while, but the other day i had a peice and i nearly died because i suddenly had the urge to buy like 100000 chocolate bars and eat them ALL. sometimes i feel like i would be better off just cutting myself off from the stuff for life but i would be missing out on such a wonderful thing! haha i guess we just have to learn to control those cravings we get when we eat chocolate and learn to just have everything in moderation!
  • Ha! Those are great. I've come to the realization that there is no way I'll be able to completely cut chocolate out of my diet - but why on earth would I want to! I guess like most women, I've just got to figure out how to get my fill without eating the entire bar or bag!
  • Good News!
    Chocolate is a VEGETABLE!

Chocolate is derived from cacao beans. Bean = vegetable. Sugar is derived from either sugar CANE or sugar BEETS. Both are plants, which places them in the vegetable category. Thus, chocolate is a VEGETABLE!

To go one step further, chocolate candy bars also contain milk, which is dairy. So candy bars are a health food.
  • A word from the teeny minority here... I'm not crazy about chocolate, although I sometimes enjoy a little bit of dark chocolate if it's good quality. If I never had chocolate again in my life, I wouldn't miss it. I know, that's total heresy! But at least there is ONE food that I don't have to fight like heck not to eat! So you chickies can have mine, OK?
