Weight Loss Tips...

  • Wow, I didn't realise there were so many people who had PCOS struggling in the same way as me to lose weight. When I found out I had PCOS and what the effects of it were, I really felt like I was the only person in the whole world going through that - looks like I was wrong! I've only just embarked upon my dieting journey about 6 days ago and was wondering if anybody had any good hints or tips to keep me going?
  • Just some thoughts:

Take your measurements so that you have something else to measure your progress by instead of just the scale. If your weight was effecting the way that you were able to do certain things, jot those down also so that you can see if that changes as you lose weight. Examples like being able to squat to pick something up off the floor instead of getting down on one knee at a heavier weight. Hopefully that make sense.

There are different approaches to weightloss with PCOS. Some people have to choose better and less carbs. Others can follow a balanced healthy diet and see success. If you find that something doesn't appear to be working after a significant trial period don't be afraid to change it up or tweak things. Sometimes things like artificial sweetners can interfere with your weightloss but it doesn't for your friends.
