Help!!!

  • I'm sort of struggling now, i need your help. I'm currently going to ww and need to get back on track and need some suggestions on doing that. I'm thinking I should try tackling one thing at a time, like uping the amount of exercise i do, then maybe making sure i drink my water every day. What do you all think? Help please.
  • Hi Fee.

Don't be so down. Here's a . I hate this point where you know your tettering (sp?) on the edge of throwing it all away, for me usually when I get stressed or upset, but don't allow it to break your good intentions. Let this be the diet that works!

I don't know your individual way of dieting. Changing one thing every few days sounds like a good idea- replacing white bread with whole wheat and drinking lots of water. Maybe try walking to work if it's possible, this has been a great way for me to fit excercise into my day. The big thing is to feel like you can do it and I hope you can feel like that, it's half the battle.

Top Tips to Get Back on Track and Motivated.
    1. Try and remember what made you decide to lose weight this time and recapture that feeling. Did you try something on and get stuck in it (this has happened me, stop laughing. ) Did somebody say something mean. You obviously found some motivation from somewhere to begin with so take a deep breath and pretend you back to that day- take your motivation from there.

    2. Don't break the diet right this second. Sometimes I let my self get too hungry and I am mad to have a big bowl of pasta. My trick for this is to say to myself 'Doozer, hang on now and calm yourself. Your just feeling food panic cause you haven't eaten. Eat something boring and healthy right now and if in an hour you still want some lasagna you can worry about it then'. Of course after having something healthy the crazy hunger is gone and I can make a better choice.

    3. If your stressed and that is causing a diet meltdown do what i call a 'bod job'- it's not as naughty as it sounds. Basically take a bath, paint your nails do a face mask, put on some fake tan. Whatever makes you feel like the beautiful woman you are.

    4. Last but not least this is my best reminder.....this time next year I can be the same or I can be slim and happy with myself. Either way I'm going to be older and the year will pass so which would you prefer, a bit of comfort eating now or a knock out dress maybe even a bikini in a few months?

I hope some of that will help you and good luck. You can do this.

P.S. I forget the most important top tip- come on 3FC and ask for support whenever you need it!!!
  • Doozer's info is all good and I don't think I can add anything to that.

    Good luck!
  • Thanks you 2, i've been really off the diet this week and will certainly be putting on weight at that weigh in on Thursday but need to fix it from here on in. I've started going to the gym twice a week so that will hopefully help. I've stopped eating bread to force myself to think of other eating ideas. So as of tonight I am going to try drinking more water and as u suggested Doozer will eat something sensible to curb the hunger pangs then think sensibly.
  • Some more help, I really feel like I know nothing about dieting lol. My main problem area is my tummy which I think if I had to tone it up I would def come down a clothes size. I know sit ups are good for the tummy so going to start doing them before I go to bed each night, but is there any other exercises that you can recommend for this area, and maybe a wee explanation of how to do them please. Thanks you lot I feel so much better since I joined here. xx
  • aww fee i felt like tha last week. i sat and i binged badly! on currys pizza chocolate crisps etc etc, baisically whatever i could get my hands on.
me myself when im feeling like that i look at a picture of me slim. i studys every part of me that i loved. then i go shoppig online lol. look for a georgous top or trousers in the next size down from what you are now. keep on trying them on and you will gradually notice your waist shrinking.
i did that with my size 18's (which i now fit in!) so ive bought myself a lovely size 16 top now.id say another 8-9lbs and ill be i them.

keep the fridge stocked up with low fat yogarts and ready chopped fruit

put some feel good tues on and have a dance

    go visit some girlfriends

we all get there once the weight coems to a stand still. mine has now, no matter how hard i try i stay the same, but believe me it WILL start coming off.

keep going hunn your doing fab!
  • Pilates is supposed to be really good for toning up your middle, I do it every now and then when I get a sore back (I have weak muscles there and sometimes I can't even get out a chair without agonising pain) and after doing it for a couple of days the pain is gone. Plus, whenever I did situps before I always found it strained my neck, pilates just works the tummy and back muscles.
  • i didnt know that about pilates! sounds like the ideal exercise, might give it a try for my jelly belly myself!
  • I think the thing that helps me the most is drinking 2 litres of water a day!
