Newbie from Kentucky

  • Hello all,

    I am a 43yo nurse and mother from Louisville, KY.

    I just started seriously working on my weight loss this week. Following the You on a Diet program.

    Walking 30 minutes a day at a minimum and incorporating other changes slowly.

    I plan to rely on my waist measurement, BP improvements etc to track how I am doing as opposed to becoming scale obsessed.

    I am finding a wealth of information on this site.

  • Welcome and look around. Post often. There is alot of great information here. I started back in January thinking I knew how to lose the weight but just didn't do it. Now I have found out I really didn't know how to lose it at all. I started by reading YOU on diet and now have read SuperFoods RX both great books. I eat healthy, exercise, drink plenty of water and count calories.
    It is simple mathematics take in less calories than you require and you will lose weight. Good luck.
