Doesn't seem like much, but it's a mountain to me!

  • I'm new too. I started at 165 a few years ago and got down to 132. Just a few pounds shy of my 130 goal, and then I started gaining it back. I got to like the low 150's then started losing weight, but on Jan 1st I was 148 and despite getting down to 142, I'm now bouncing around 148 again! I just can't seem to get it to budge, but I'm determined. I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet! I'd love to hit my pre-pregnancy (127) weight from 9 years ago, just once before I die! I'd love to buddy up with anyone in a similar situation to mine.

  • THANK YOU!!
  • Howdy, SAME PROBLEMO
Hi, I'm in a similar spot. I just keep yo-yoing around the same five pounds. I am fine as long as I'm in the same old routine, but as soon as some new crisis comes up, or I have to work too much or a holiday rears it's ugly head I gain the same five pounds all over again. I guess the important thing is to stay as positive as possible. I keep going back up to 156, but at least I haven't gone up to 160. I think that means I've re-integrated good habits into my life to a degree that keeps me maintained in one general area. I think you're probably doing better than you think. I am shooting for 128 (just afew pounds more than my pre-pregnancy weight) and we have about the same row to hoe.... Let me know if you're still looking for a buddy. I am too.
  • Middle Earth Seeker ~ You need to commit to a lifestyle of healthy eating and exercise to be able to maintain permanent weight loss.

The Featherweights forum is very encouraging for helping you get down to your goal weight. Then switch over to the Maintainers to learn how to create balance in your life to keep the weight off.
  • You can do it, girly! Just remember what it will feel like when you hit that all-time low again. You sure sound committed to me. Unfortunately, we can't always control yo-yo'ing. Even though I keep a close tab on what I eat and exercise every chance that I have, it's VERY difficult for me to lose weight... and when I do, if I so much as splurge ONE DAY, I can easily put it ALL back on. Not everyone's body is the same, so just keep your eye on the prize and don't let slip-up's get you down!
